Nun soll mein Herz erbeben In raschem Liebesschlag! -- Als Eros jüngst mich mahnte, Gab [töricht nicht ich nach]1. Da griff er rasch zum Bogen, [Ergriff]2 den Schild von Gold, Hat mich zum Kampf gefordert, [Weil lieben ich nicht]3 wollt'. Ich, ein Achill, griff mutig [Zum]4 Panzer, Schild und Speer Und wollt' mit Eros streiten, Umblitzt von blanker Wehr. So oft er schoss, entfloh ich, Leer war sein Köcher bald, Da drang in's Herz er selber Voll Zorns mir mit Gewalt. [Dort drang er ein]5 als Sieger, Was [nützt nun]6 Speer und Schild? Was [soll'n die Waffen]7 draußen, Kämpft es im Herzen wild?
