Go with me over the moors and I will show you the way to the mountain hut; then we will take the mountain road where the sun paints with gold the snowy peaks. We don't have many fields and much of our country is forested, but by far the most is mountain terrain both north and south, but especially in the west. We will begin in Gudbrandsdal where pine forests grow on the mountain slopes, there we will climb step by step until we see Rondane straight ahead. And on the wide expanses of Dovre just take a look, there is mighty Snøhetta she sits there on her golden throne having arrayed herself with sun and snow. But if you want to know where to find the magnificent mountain plateaux, the finest peaks, so come with me on a fine summer evening to Jotunheimen. And we will sit under Glittertind where the breezes scarcely stir the mountain mists; and then your heart will whisper to you 'Aaaaaah - and is all this really mine?'.
