Udleder Svenden sin Ganger graa.
        [I bie mig vel.]1

Sadel af Sølv og Bidsel af Guld;
Selv rider Svenden saa frydefuld.2

Maanen er lys, og Natten er klar,
Saa mangefold Glæde hans Hjerte bar.

Han bandt sin Hest udi Rosenslund,
Han minded sin skjønne Jomfru paa Mund:2

»Vi sees vel atter en Sommertid,
Der Dagen er lang og Natten er blid.

Vi sees vel atter saa god en Vaar,
At aldrig mere jeg fra Dig gaaer.
        I bie mig vel!«
