Tunturille
Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Available translation(s): GER
Tunturille mennä tahdon,
sinne mieli halaa,
siellä tuuli tuivertaapi,
päivän lieska palaa.
Tunturille mennä täytyy
sinne vetää veri.
Siellä soivat taaton virret,
poika jotka peri.
Tunturille mennä tahdon,
tahdon korkealle.
Sieltä katson niinkuin kotka
kauas maailmalle.

Den Fjelden zu
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Finnish (Suomi)
Hoch auf Fjelden will ich wandern,
dahin geht mein Sehnen.
mächtig da die Winde brausen,
heisser brennt die Sonne.
Hoch auf Fjelden muß ich wandern,
das ist mein Verlangen.
Dort erklingen hell die Lieder
die die Väter sangen.
Hoch auf Fjelden will ich wandern,
hoch und immer höher,
wie ein Adler aus der Höhe
mir die Welt beschauen.
