by Johann Nepomuk Vogl (1802 - 1866)

Weberlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
In dem Kämmerchen, dem Alten,
Web' ich emsig, Tag für Tag,
Immerdar mit dem zufrieden
Was ich mir erweben mag.

Wohl der besser'n Stände gibt es
Als der Stand des Webers ist,
Ob auch gleich wie mir im Weben
Eines Jeden Zeit verfließt.

Jeder webt ja seine Fäden,
Dieser grob und jener fein,
Doch das Tuch, das ich gewoben,
Hüllt am Ende Alle ein.
