Einsam verlassen sein
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie nur so herb die Pein,
einsam verlassen sein!
Nirgends ein fühlend Herz,
Fremde nur allerwärts.

Nimmer zu mir herein
dringet ein Hoffnungsschein,
fruchtlos der Freude Schall
suchet nach Widerhall.

Niemals dem Auge lacht
Waldesgrün, Blumenpracht,
und wie so schal und tot
Sternlein und Morgenrot.

Nur in der Brust so bang
wogender Sehnsuchtsdrang,
ach und allüberall
Meidens und Leidens Qual;

Keiner, dem's je mein Mund
klagte in trauter Stund';
wie nur so herb die Pein,
einsam verlassen sein!
