by Abraham Emanuel Fröhlich (1796 - 1865)

Ersonne dich!
Language: German (Deutsch)
Gottes Aug und Sonnenschein
Dringt mir ganz ins Herz hinein;
Selig, wer den Blick nicht flieht,
Selig, wen es nach ihm zieht!

Jeder Strahl, auf mich gespannt,
Hält mich an das Licht ;
Jeder Strahl, der mir entbrennt,
Schmelzt, was mich vom Lichte trennt.

Rosen öffnen sich mit Lust,
Licht durchdringet ihre Brust;
Sonne gib' mir Himmelsglut,
Ström in mich du höchstes Gut!
