by Johann Wilhelm Jakob Bornemann (1766 - 1851)

Urfinsterniß
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hans Sachse sang:
Im Uranfang,
Als Gott der Herr die Welt erschief,
War es so finster und so tief,
Daß eine Ratz
Und eine Katz
Kopfan zusammen lief.
Das war doch wohl gewiß
Stockfinstre Finsterniß!

Confirmed with Die Zeltersche Liedertafel in Berlin, Berlin: Deckerschen Geheimen Ober-Hofbuchdruckerei, 1851, page 117. Appears in Liedertafel-Gesänge und Lieder, in Für Männerstimmen.
