Über der Felder goldglänzende Wogen
Spannt sich der schimmernde Regenbogen,
Tröpflein funkelnde fallen lind,
Wie in Freuden eint ein Kind.

Hoch des Himmels verheißende Farben --
Segen der Erde, du läßt nicht darben! 
Durch sanftweinenden Regenblick 
Scheint das helle sonnige Glück. --

Immer nicht quillst du vom Dorn der Schmerzen 
Tropfen des Thaues, dem Menschenherzen,
Das, in wonnigem Überfluß,
Doch sein Glück ausweinen muß.
