2. Dich lass ich nimmer wieder  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun mir dein Herz gestanden
Was lang dein Mund verhehlt,
Hat es mit heil'gen Banden
Dem meinen sich vermählt.

Wie dich in sel'gem Schweigen
Mein Arm umschlungen hält,
So bleibst du nun mein eigen
Vor Gott und aller Welt.

Schlag nicht die Augen nieder,
O sei nicht scheu und bang!
Ich laß dich nimmer wieder
Mein ganzes Leben lang.

Text Authorship:

  • by Georg Scherer (1824 - 1909), "Mein!", appears in Gedichte von Georg Scherer, in 1. Erstes Buch, in Lieder
