Zwei Lieder für 1 Singstimme mit Pianofortebegleitung , opus 1

by E. Brandmüller

1. Dein Bild  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Vom Wassergrunde helle
grüßt mich das Sterngebild,
wenn flutend auch die Welle
es immer überquillt.

So ruht im Seelengrunde
mir Deine Bildgestalt,
was bunt auch durch die Runde
an ihr vorüberschwallt.

Text Authorship:

  • by Friedrich Marx (1830 - 1905), "Dein Bild"

See other settings of this text.

Note: This is the text as found in the Poesie-Album of Helene Simon, wife of Paul Zech (1881-1946). In 1901 Zech copied this poem into the album without mentioning its author and changed "das" (line 2, word 3) to "Dein". The above text might not be the exact original form. Another version of the poem can be found below.

2. Bauernregel  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Sommer such ein Liebchen dir
in Garten und Gefild!
Da sind die Tage lang genug,
da sind die Nächte mild.

Im Winter muß der süße Bund
schon fest geschlossen sein,
so darfst nicht lange stehn im Schnee
bei kaltem Mondenschein.

Text Authorship:

  • by Johann Ludwig Uhland (1787 - 1862), "Bauernregel", appears in Lieder
