Im Eimer das Wasser Schon tanzte nicht mehr, Er fragte, ob länger Ich böse noch wär'; Das Thal war so friedlich, Ich stand so allein, Und sagte vor Schrecken Nicht ja und nicht nein. Im Eimer das Wasser Lief über den Rand, Er fragte, warum ich In Thränen dastand, Und sah mir ins Auge So innig dabei, -- Da hab' ich versprochen Ihm ewige Treu.
