3. Schelmenauge  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Sobald du hebst die klaren Äugelein,
Freut sich Gestirn und auch der Sonnenschein,
Also gar sehr, du Liebeszier,
Sind sie geneiget dir.
Sobald du auch die Erde blickest an,
Ist sie erhizt, schickt Blümelein heran,
Wie sollt dann ich nicht herziglich,
Jungfrau auch lieben dich.
Und schließest du, o Herz, die Äugelein,
Da giebt der Stern der Venus großen Schein
Wie ihrem Kind, wenn sie offen sind,
Die Fackel heftig brinnt,
Und hüllst du ein die hellen Äugelein,
Der Himmel traurig zieht die Sterne ein,
Die Erd ist kalt, Frau Venus alt,
Ohn Feuer Amor bald.
