5. Liebesnacht  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Schwer tränt der Regen von den dunklen Zweigen,
Die über unser'n Häuptern tief sich breiten.
Die Blätter neigen sich im Trauerreigen
Wie flüchtige Schatten, die vorübergleiten.

Das tat der Sturm mit seinen Geißelhieben,
Der hier uns wild im Wetter trieb zusammen.
Er schwieg, und nur der Regen ist geblieben,
Zu löschen uns'rer heißen Liebe Flammen.

Er aber lehrte uns mit seinem Weinen
Den Wonnebecher schäumend auszutrinken,
In Nacht und Einsamkeit uns zu vereinen,
Gluttrunken, bebend Brust an Brust zu sinken.

10. Abendregen  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Riesle, lauer Abendregen,
Auf die welken Blumen nieder!
Jedem Helmlein an den Wegen
Gib dein Schlummertränklein wieder!

Netze leis mit kühlem Taue
Meines Gärtchens einzige Rose!
Lab die Veilchen auf der Aue,
Lab im Wald die durstigen Moose!

Taubetränte Zweige wiegen.
Dunkelfeuchte Blätter rauschen.
Möchte tief darunter liegen,
Deiner Flüsterweise lauschen!

  • by Hans Reinhart (1880 - 1963), "Im Garten Gottes", subtitle: "Abendregen"

11. Auf der alten Brücke  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Jüngst kehrte ich zurücke
Aus fernen, fremden Landen.
Hab lang auf der alten Brücke
In Nacht und Sturm gestanden.

Der Mond schien weiß auf den Weiler,
Das Wasser rauschte vorbei.
Der Wind pfiff durch die Pfeiler
Eine traurige Melodei.

Die Wellen rauschten und rauschten
Wohl zu des Windes Wehen.
All meine Sinne lauschten,
Mußt' immer hinuntersehen.

Mußt' denken an jene Stunde,
Dereinst ich von dir schied. -
Gibst du mir letzte Kunde,
Du alt vergessenes Lied?

  • by Hans Reinhart (1880 - 1963), "Der Nachtwandler", subtitle: "Auf der alten Brücke"

14. Seelentraum  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn aller Schmerz, wenn alle Qualen enden,
Wenn alle Angst und alle Pein vergeht,
Dann trage mich auf deinen lieben Händen
Dahin, wo ew'ger Friede uns umweht.

Dann wandeln wir zu Zwei'n durch selige Auen,
Die Lippen neigen sich zum ersten Kuß;
Dann wollen wir vereint den Frühling schauen,
Der keines Winters Nacht entfliehen muß.

Der Rose Tränen uns're Stirne netzen,
So weilen wir in stummer Einsamkeit.
So wollen wir an heiliger Ruh' uns letzen
Und denken einstiger Lieb' aus ferner Zeit.
