Da drunten im tiefen Tale Drei hohe Linden stehn, Die kann ich ohne Weinen Wohl nimmermehr ansehn. Es war da bei den Linden, Als mich mein Lieb verließ, 'Ach, lieber Knab, mußt wandern, Mein Treu bleibt dir gewiß.' Nun bin ich wiederkommen Und geh' zu'n Linden hin: Da muß ich trauri schauen, Wie ich vergessen bin.
