Lieder zur Harfe

by Karl Bellenberg (b. 1944)

1. Mein Lied  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Schlafend fällt das nächtliche Laub,
O, du stiller dunkelster Wald ....

Kommt das Licht mit dem Himmel,
Wie soll ich wach werden?
Überall wo ich gehe,
Rauscht ein dunkler Wald;

Und bin doch dein spielender Herzschelm, Erde,
Denn mein Herz murmelt das Lied
Moosalter Bäche der Wälder.

Text Authorship:

  • by Else Lasker-Schüler (1869 - 1945), "Mein Lied", appears in Die Nächte Tino von Bagdads

Confirmed with Else Lasker-Schüler, Gesammelte Gedichte, Leipzig, Verlag der Weißen Bücher, 1917, page 118. Note: dedicated to "Meinem gefallenen, lieben Krieger Georg Trakl"

2. Dann  [sung text not yet checked]

Möchte an Deinem Munde brennen
Eine Traumzeit von tausend Jahren.

Text Authorship:

  • by Else Lasker-Schüler (1869 - 1945), "Dann", appears in Styx, Gedichte, Berlin, Axel Junker Verlag, first published 1902
