Twee liederen

Song Cycle by Rosalie Marie Wertheim (1888 - 1949)

1. Herfstliedje
 (Sung text)

Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
De lucht is grijs en licht en stil,
de boomen staan te doren;
het speelsche leven, uit een gril,
mijn liefste droom mij rooven will,
ik geef hem zonder moren.

De bloemen, met een laatsten zucht
Van stervend lauwe geuren,
bezwang'ren de verlaten lucht,
en zijgen dan met zacht gerucht,
om van de zon te treuren.

Ik loop, de handen uitgespreid,
die doode dingen raken.
'k Heb veel gelachen en geschreid,
nu komt de winter wit en wijd,
die alles stil zal maken.
