[Vertrau'st du dich]3 doch [sorglos]4
Täglich dem wilden Meer.

Mein Herz gleicht ganz dem Meere,
Hat Sturm und Ebb' und Fluth,
Und manche schöne Perle
In seiner Tiefe ruht.5

O bella pescatrice,
porta la barca a terra;
vieni da me, siediti,
facciamo all'amore mano nella mano.

Appoggia la testina sul mio cuore
e non spaventarti troppo;
tu che ti affidi senza paura
tutti i giorni al mare selvaggio.

Il mio cuore è come il mare,
ha tempeste, bassa ed alta marea,
e qualche bella perla
posa sul suo fondo.
