Und sah die Nacht in deines Herzens [Raum]2,
Und sah die Schlang', die dir am Herzen frißt,
Ich sah, mein Lieb, wie sehr du elend bist.

וראיתי את הלילה בחדרי לבך
וראיתי את הנחש הניזון מלבך,
ראיתי, אהובתי, עד כמה את מרשעת.
איני נוטר לך טינה.
