Die Sonne mag verscheinen,
Die Wolke nicht mehr weinen,
Die Flamme mag versprühn,
Der Frühling nicht mehr blühn!

Tan cert com surt el sol,
tan cert com ploren els núvols,
tan cert com la flama espurneja,
tan cert com floreix la primavera;
tan cert com he sentit
al tenir-te en els meus braços:
és que tu m’estimes, com jo a tu,
que jo t’estimo, com tu a mi.

El sol pot deixar de brillar,
els núvols deixar de plorar,
la flama apagar-se,
la primavera deixar de florir!
Nosaltres volem abraçar-nos
i sentir-nos sempre així;
que tu m’estimes, com jo a tu,
que jo t’estimo, com tu a mi.

  Die Liebe ist ein Rosenstrauch.
      Wo blüht er?
Ei nun, in unserm Garten,
Darin wir zwei, mein Lieb und ich,
Getreulich seiner warten,
wofür er uns aus Dankbarkeit
Alltäglich neue [Rosen beut]1;
Und wenn im Himmel Rosen blühn,
Sie können [kaum noch schöner glühn]2.

  Die Liebe ist ein klarer Bach.
      Wo zieht er?
Ei nun, in unserm Garten.
So viele Wellen, so viel Lust
Und Freuden aller Arten;
Auch spiegelt er die Welt umher,
Als ob sie noch viel schöner wär';
Drauf fahren wir so lustig hin,
Wie Vöglein durch den Himmel ziehn.

  Die Liebe ist ein heller Stern.
      Wo glüht er?
Ei nun, in unserm Garten.
Ach, Liebchen, sprich, was läßt du mich
Doch oft so lange warten?
Denn seh' ich dich nicht alle Stund,
Des Sternes Glut mein Herz [verwund't]3;

L’amor és un roser.
On floreix?
Doncs bé, al nostre jardí,
en el que nosaltres dos, la meva estimada i jo,
fidelment en tenim cura,
per això, com agraïment,
cada dia ens ofereix roses novelles.
I si al cel les roses florissin,
a penes podrien resplendir més formoses.

L’amor és un clar rierol.
On flueix?
Doncs bé, al nostre jardí.
Tantes ones, tant de goig,
i tota mena de gaubances;
reflecteix també el món al voltant
com si fos més formós encara.
En ell naveguem tan alegres
com els ocellets volen al cel.

L’amor és una estrella brillant.
On brilla?
Doncs bé, al nostre jardí.
Ai, estimada, digues, per què
em fas esperar tant de temps?
Car si no et veig a tothora,
l’esclat de l’estrella abrusa el meu cor;
però quan tu arribes, suaument s’enlaira
com quan surt el sol al mes de maig.
