1. Retractació
Language: Catalan (Català)
Jo no vaig dir: t’estimo.
Només vaig dir: dóna’m la mà
i tolera’m!

Em vaig afigurar que érem semblants,
tu eres tan jove i bona com jo...
-- Jo no vaig dir: t’estimo.

2. In der Nachtherberge
 (Sung text)
by Rudolph Ganz (1877 - 1972), "In der Nachtherberge", op. 11 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 2, published 1908 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Du lachst, weil ich gebetet habe;

2. A l'alberg de nit
Language: Catalan (Català)
Ten rius perquè he pregat;
em sap greu que ho hagis vist
i que no hagis callat...
Ho vaig aprendre quan era un infant –

Voldria llegir als teus ulls
que així i tot m’has entès –
No has estat mai un infant?

3. Handwerksburschenpenne
 (Sung text)
by Rudolph Ganz (1877 - 1972), "Handwerksburschenpenne", op. 11 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 3, published 1908 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Das Geld ist aus, die Flasche leer,
Und einer nach dem andern
Legt sich zu Boden müde sehr
Und ruht vom langen Wandern.

Der eine träumt noch vom Gendarm,
Dem er mit Not entronnen,
Dem andern ist, er liege warm
Im Felde an der Sonnen.

Der dritte Kunde schaut ins Licht
Als ob er Geister sehe,
Er stützt den Kopf und schlummert nicht
Und hat ein heimlich Wehe.

Das Licht verlischt und alles ruht,
Nur noch die Scheiben funkeln,
Da nimmt er leise Stock und Hut
Und wandert fort im Dunkeln.

3. La becaina dels menestrals
Language: Catalan (Català)
No hi ha diners, la botella és buida,
i cansats, un rere l’altre
s’ajeuen a terra

i té una secreta pena.

El llum s’apaga i tot reposa,
només els vidres llueixen encara,
aleshores en silenci agafa el bastó i el barret
i es posa en camí en la foscúria.
