1. Herbst  [sung text not yet checked]
by Hugo Rasch (1873 - 1947), "Herbst", op. 3 (2 Lieder) no. 2 (1907), published 1908 [ voice and piano ], Mainz: Schott

1. Autumn
Language: English
The leaves fall, fall as from afar, as if withered in heavens distant gardens; their falling is a sad sign. And in the end earth itself will fall from among the stars in space. We all fall. This hand will fall. And see the other: it is as the rest. And yet there is one, which these downfallen infinitely, gently, holds in his hands.
