Die Abendwölkchen prangen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Abendwölkchen prangen,
Laß Liebchen dir nicht bangen!
Komm zu mir in den Kahn!
Ueber hellen
Silberwellen
Schweben wir auf feuchter Bahn!

Wie prangt die Fluth im Golde!
Komm zu mir meine Holde,
Wie sehnt' ich mich nach dir!
Lichtumflossen,
Glanzumgossen,
Auf den Wellen schaukeln wir.

Da kommen Abendwinde,
Und spielen leis und linde
In meines Mädchens Haar;
Nachtigallen-
Lieder schallen
Von den Ufern wunderbar.

Du lauschest Liebesflöten,
Du blickst in Abendröthen,
Vom Himmelslicht umwallt;
Und ich schweige,
Und ich neige
Mich vor dir, du Huldgestalt!

Verlangst schon nach dem Lande?
O wär' an diesem Strande
Ein kleines Hüttchen mein,
Das du theiltest,
Wo du weiltest,
O wie selig wollt' ich sein!

Nun gute Nacht, du Süße!
Die ich voll Liebe grüße,
Mein holder Genius!
Ohne Säumen
Will ich träumen
Froh von dir und deinem Kuß!
