Langsam wieg' und leise
Language: German (Deutsch)
Langsam wieg' und leise
Schaukelbettchen, du,
Jetzt mein Kind zur Ruh!
Tön', o Liederweise,
Sanft und leicht dazu!

Unter stillem Wiegen,
Summen und Lullein,
Soll es wohl gedeihn,
Schließ'es mit Vergnüngen
Seine Äugelein!

Holde Traumgesichte
Aus dem Paradies,
Ach, umschwebt es süß,
Daß es wohn' im Lichte,
Trotz der Finsterniß.

Mit dem Morgenrothe
Weck' es dann mein Kuß
Zu des Tags Genuß;
Und ein Himmelsbote
Ist sein Genius.
