Frühlings‑Gesang
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schon schlummert stille rings die Natur,
Und Blüthenfülle bedeckt die Flur!
Auf feuchten Schwingen kommt kühlende Luft,
Mir leise zu bringen den lieblichen Duft!
Aber ein Leben, ein Keimen durchzieht
Mächtig der Erde träumend Gebiet!
Was nur das Flüstern mir sagen will?
Stille, mein pochendes Herz, sei still!
Alle singt Liebe, Alles jauchzt Glück!
Selige Tage kehren zurück!

Already nature is slumbering quietly round about,
And a plethora of blossoms covers the meadow!
A cooling breeze comes upon moist pinions,
To quietly bring me the lovely scent!
But a life, a burgeoning passes mightily
Through the dreaming realm of the earth!
What might the whispering be saying to me?
Be still, my beating heart, be still!
Everything sings love, everything rejoices good fortune!
Blessed days are returning!
