Ich hab drei Kränze gewunden

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich hab drei Kränze gewunden
Gleich einer Schäferin
Und will sie nun verteilen
Nach meinem törichten Sinn.

Den ersten aus Eichenblättern,
Den drücke ich dir aufs Haupt;
Es liegt eine Kraft in der Eiche,
Auf die man vertraut und glaubt.

Den zweiten aus wilden Rosen
Geb' ich dem Bächlein im Wald,
Das färbt mit rosigem Leben
Die Wangen von Jung und Alt.

Den dritten aus Blumen es Feldes
Leg' ich dem Heiland aufs Haar,
Er soll keinen Dornenkranz tragen
In meinem seligsten Jahr.
