Gut' Nacht, fahr wohl! Süß sanftes Herz, Zu tausend gute Nacht! Wie hab' ich nicht in Wonn' und Schmerz Herzinnig dein gedacht! Gut' Nacht, fahr wohl! Bist fern, doch bleibt Dein Bild mein Traum, Mein Stern in dunkler Nacht. Der pranget hell am Wolkensaum, Wo Leid und Liebe wacht. Gut' Nacht, fahr wohl! Sonst hab ich nichts, Ach nichts von dir, Als diesen Blick allein, Und wichest ewig du von mir, Sein Licht bleibt ewig mein. Gut' Nacht, fahr wohl!
