een pimpermeesk', half zonneblend;
en 'k hoor zijn bekske, naaldefijn,
herhalend en hertalend zijn,
hoe 't blijde en hoe 't ja vromer is,
nadien 't nu eenmaal zomer is.
Ja-wel, mijn kleentje, en meê met u,
zoo hipt mijn herte en wipt het nu,
vol hope, omdat 't weêr zonneschijn
verblijden zal, en zomer zijn!
