Die Lilie im schneeigen Kleid
Und prangte unter den Blumen,

Wohl brauste gegen sie wüthend
Der Sturm vom Norden hervor,

Und blühte nur schöner empor.

Da hat sie mit giftigem Hauche
Der buhlende Zephyr umglüht:
O Lilie, arme Lilie,
Wie schnell bist du verblüht!
