Nun ist mit seinem lauten Treiben Der heiße Tag zur Ruh gebracht, Und nur die kühlen Brunnen bleiben Einsam geschäftig über Nacht. Und wie sich tiefgeheime Kunde Im Mondendämmer offenbart, So steigt aus meines Herzens Grunde Die Sehnsucht, die mein Leben ward.
