Vintervisa
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Vind och hvita vågor
stredo nyss på sjön;
blåa bryggor blänka
nu kring öde ön.
Smidig skida skön
öfver slätten slinter.
Vacker är vår vinter
och så frisk är snön.

Aftonsömnig solen
syns och morgontung,
skumma skuggor skymma
Suomis hed och ljung.
Folkets håg är ung,
stålfast är dess sinne.
Gladt vår pärta brinne!
Sjung en visa, sjung!

Det var skarpt i skogen,
där jag högg i dag,
rim i håret hängde,
som en björn var jag;
det tog friska tag.
Nu den långa kvällen
här vid heta hällen
sjunga vi i lag.

Sjung de gamla runor,
dem vi än ha kvar,
sjung hur godt och trofast
finska hjärtat var;
sjung om flydda dar,
sjung om dar som stunda,
tills vi trötta blunda,
pärtan slocknat har.
