Blühe, liebes Veilchen,
  Mir zu Liebe doch;
Blühe mir ein Weilchen
  Immer schöner noch!

Weißt du, was ich meyne?
  Bist ihr Augenlicht!
Nein, im blauen Scheine
  Bist du schöner nicht!

Blühe, holde Rose,
  Meiner Seele Lust,
In des Mai's Gekose,
  Stolz und unbewußt.

Weißt du, was ich dachte?
  Bist der Wangen Roth,
Das den Tod mir brachte,
  Aber süßen Tod!

Blühe, braune Nelke!
  Blühe, Lilie weiß!
Daß kein Stürmen welke
  Eurer Farbe Preis!

Wisset, daß ihr malend
  Braune Locken webt,
Und den Wuchs, der strahlend
  Mich zum Himmel hebt.
