O Natal do Céu
(Sung text for setting by A. Fragoso)
 Matches base text
Language: Portuguese (Português)
Our translations:  ENG
Meu filho, levou-mo Deus...
Levou? Nem sei! Afinal,
Eu vejo o sempre, tal qual,
Seus olhos fitos nos meus.
Meu filho, levou-mo Deus...
Passou, agora, o Natal:
Na terra como nos céus...

Sonhei, e vi o, entre as flores,
Hinos, estrelas e amores
De alto Presépio divino.
E a Virgem, mostrando o ao colo:
"Olhai! É mesmo um consolo...
Lembra Jesus em menino!"

Composition:

Set to music by Antonio Lima Fragoso (1897 - 1918), "O Natal do Céu" [ voice and piano ], from Canções do Sol Poente, no. 6
