Als ich ein junges, leichtes Blut
(Sung text for setting by H. Schulz-Beuthen)
 Matches original text

Composition:

Set to music by Heinrich Schulz-Beuthen (1838 - 1915), "Als ich ein junges, leichtes Blut", 1871 [ tenor and piano ], from Acht Dichtungen von Mathilde Wesendonck für eine Tenorstimme mit Klavier-Begleitung, no. 4

Text Authorship:

  • by (Agnes) Mathilde Wesendonck, née Luckemeyer (1828 - 1902), no title, appears in Gedichte, Volksweisen, Legenden und Sagen, no. 16, Leipzig, Verlag Otto Dürr, first published 1874
