O eerbiedweerdig hoofd
 (Sung text for setting by V. Nees)
 Matches original text
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
  o Eerbiedweerdig hoofd
der blankgekruinde boomen,
  hoe heerlijk groet gij mij,
in 's winters pronksieraad;
  wanneer de bleeke zon
heur' eerste morgenstroomen
  ontginsteren in 't gevlerk
van uwe takken laat!

  Ze is helder, licht en wit,
ze is ongelijkbaar schoone,
  ze is vlekkeloos, de pracht
waarmeê gij zegepraalt;
  en, voor nen korten tijd
gekoningd, spant de kroone,
  ver boven al 't gesteent'
daarin de zonne straalt.
Spelling change used by Zagwijn: waarmeê -> waarmee
