Sonnenaufgang
 (Sung text for setting by W. Taubert)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
    Hebet eure Augen auf
Zu des Himmels lichten Hallen,
Seht, die Sonne kommt herauf,
Und die Jubellieder schallen
Aus dem Hain, im Aehrenfeld,
Von der Schönheit dieser Welt.

    Hebet eure Augen auf,
Seht, sie kommt im Lichtgewande
Aus dem Morgenthor herauf;
Alle segenvolle Lande,
Froh in seligem Genuß,
Fühlen ihren Morgengruß.

    Licht' und heiter lacht das Thal,
Wo der Sonne Auge, glänzet,
Wo ihr milder Lebensstrahl
Aller ihr kränzet;
Überall erschafft Berge Gipfel Blick
Lebenskraft und Lebensglück.
