Under häggarna
(Sung text for setting by E. Melartin)
 See original
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  FIN
Grenarna luta nära,
   nära
öfver oss ned sin snöbukett.
Vindarna vagga skära,
   skära
hängen, som böja sig mjukt och lätt.
Häggen står brud i sommarens vind,
vinden smeker dess vita kind.

Drömmarna flyga ljusa,
  ljusa,
sländorna svärma mot himlens blå.
Höga häggarna susa,
  susa,
vaja och vagga och hvita stå. --
Rundt om mig sommar och du i min famn!
Lif, jag välsignar i jubel ditt namn!

Note: modern spelling would change "hviska" to "viska", "Lif" to "Liv", etc.
