Nachtgruss vom Main
(Sung text for setting by A. Sandberger)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Eine Stimme.
 Nun alle Wipfel schlafen,
 O habe gute Nacht!
 Die Schifflein sind im Hafen,
 Die Sternlein auf der Wacht.

 Und wie die Wolken fliegen
 Gedanken hin zu dir,
 wie gold'ne Brücken liegen
 sie zwischen mir und dir

 Nun alle Wipfel schlafen,
 O laß dein Weinen sein,
 Das Schifflein ruht im Hafen,
 du ruhst im Herzen mein.
