Was suchst du Glück
(Sung text for setting by A. Wallnöfer)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Was sucht du Glück vom1 Mund zu Mund
Und deiner, ach, ist bleich und kühl?
Du siehst dich um, dein Herz bleibt stumm,
Und Lieben ist kein Kinderspiel.

Die schönen2 Flammen sind verglüht,
Noch eh' der Thau des Abends fiel.
Die Nacht bricht ein, du bist allein,
Und Sterben ist kein Kinderspiel.
