Vid Kattegatt
(Sung text for setting by E. Sjögren)
 Matches base text
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Där bodde en katt
vid Kattegatt
han hade ljusröd nos;
han satt och såg
åt blånande våg
allt under en nyponros.

Hans frukost var sill
och mjölk därtill
nu är han så nöjd och mätt.
I solens gass
han synar sin tass
och slickar den fin och nätt.

Där kilar en mus
vid fiskarens hus,
men misse är lat idag.
»Miau, miau, med sill
och med mjölk därtill
jag tror jag mig nöjer jag.«

Set to music by (Johan Gustaf) Emil Sjögren (1853 - 1918), "Vid Kattegatt", 1900-06 [ voice and piano ], from Barnvisor och ungdomssånger, no. 1
