Julens alla vackra klockor, ringen!
(Sung text for setting by E. Sjögren)
 See original
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Julens alla vackra klockor, ringen,
    bringen
öfver jorden fröjd och frid!
    Klingen
liksom himmelska ackorder
uti lifvets split och strid!

Julens ängel, du, den ljusa, blida,
    vida
dina vingar sträck i julenatt!
    Bida
må du som en hoppets ängel
vid den tröskel sorgen ständigt satt!

 ...

Julens alla vackra klockor, klingen,
    ringen
kärlek öfver land och haf!
    Ingen
må i natt den andre hata,
ingen vara herre, ingen slaf!

Genom vinternattens mörker tunga
    sjunga
änglarna ännu som förr,
    sjunga
"Ära vare Gud i höjden, frid på jorden!"
ännu framför krubbans dörr.
