Es birgt sich in wogender Ähren Gold; 
Sein Auge blickt treu und himmelsrein, 
D'rum schaut auch der Kaiser so gern hinein.

 Dich, Kaiserblume, dich lob' ich mir 
 Als deutscher Männer- und Frauen-Zier. 

Blümchen, seligen Friedens Bild,  
Wie stimmt uns dein Anblick so sanft und mild, 
Wie hast du nach mancher heißen Schlacht 
Dem Kaiser noch Freude und Trost gebracht.

Du reichstes Blümchen in Wald und Feld,  
Dich liebt ein Kaiser, ein mächtiger Held,
