L'Allée est droite et longue
 (Sung text for setting by A. Rostand)
 Matches base text
Dans les taillis déserts de la forêt muette ;

Composition:

    Set to music by Alexis Jean Hubert Rostand (1844 - 1919), as Jean Hubert, "L'Allée est droite et longue", subtitle: "Coucher de soleil. - Hiver", <<1904 [ medium voice and piano ], from Les Saisons et les Heures, no. 19, Éd. Heugel & Cie.

Text Authorship:

  • by François Coppée (1842 - 1908), no title, written 1872?, appears in Promenades et Intérieurs, Paris, Éd. Alphonse Lemerre, first published 1872
