Milý, milý, kade chodíš
(Sung text for setting by V. Novák)
 Matches base text
Language: Slovak (Slovenčina)
Milý, milý, kade chodíš,
kdeže ťa ja hľadať mám?
Čo já smutná, prežalostná,
neviem, čo si počať mám?

Už som širé hory prešla,
a teba som tam nenašla,
len sláviček tam spievavý,
sedí smutný, neveselý, Bože môj!

Ešče pôjdem do hájička,
zas len nájdem slávička,
rozkážem mu smutno spievať,
moju žalosť zalievať.

Ale aj on mi uverí,
že ma moje srdce bolí,
pukne sa mi od žalosti,
slzy roní od ľútosti, Bože môj!

Composition:

Set to music by Vítězslav Augustín Rudolf Novák (1870 - 1949), "Milý, milý, kade chodíš" [ voice and piano ]
