Der Frühlingsabend
 (Sung text for setting by F. Hensel)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nicht dein schmelzender Zauberhall
lockt, melodische Nachtigall,
mich ins blühende Dunkel;
nicht im Wehen der Abendluft,
Nachtviol' und Tazettenduft,
noch des Taues Gefunkel.

Unter dämmerndem Sternenschein
wandl' ich Mädchen mit mir allein
durch die dunkleren Gänge.
O mein bebendes Herz umwühlt,
was ich nimmer zuvor gefühlt,
wundersames Gedränge!
