Im Sturm
(Sung text for setting by B. Randhartinger)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Der Sturm geht los, der Sturm geht los,
Und saus't und braus't im Wald,
Hei, höret doch, wie sein Getos'
So frei und wild erschallt.

Juhei! der Sturm hat frischen Mut,
Den Sturm, den preis' ich mir,
Es braus't so wild in ihm die Glut
Gleichwie, o Herz, in dir.

Fort sauset er durch Wald und Feld,
Und kennt nicht Rast und Haft,
Er hat auf sich sein Heil gestellt,
Auf sich und seine Kraft!

Hei Sturm! hei Sturm! Du bist mein Mann,
Es krieche was da will,
Sey noch so rauh und wild die Bahn,
Der Mut'ge kommt an's Ziel!
