Fogeln
(Sung text for setting by H. Tham)
 See original
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Säg mig, du lilla fogel,
Der mellan almens blad,
Hur kan du ständigt sjunga
Och ständigt vara glad?
Jag hör din röst hvar morgon,
Jag hör den hvarje qväll,
Men lika ren är stämman
Och tonen lika säll.

Förrådet är så ringa,
Din boning är så trång,
Dock ser du mot din hydda
Och sjunger hvarje gång.
Du intet skördar
och intet kan du så,
Du vet ej morgondagen
Och ändå nöjd ändå.

 ...
