Sonntagsfrühe!
 (Sung text for setting by F. Kamm)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
  Aus den Thälern hör' ich schallen
Glockentöne, Festgesänge,
Helle Sonnenblicke fallen
Durch die dunklen Buchengänge;
Himmel ist von Glanz umflossen,
Heil'ger Friede rings ergossen.

  Durch die Felder still beglücket
Wallen Pilger allerwegen;
Frohen Kindern gleich geschmücket,
Gehn dem Vater sie entgegen,
Der auf goldner Saaten Wogen
Segnend kommt durch's Land gezogen.

  Wie so still die Bäche gleiten,
Wie so leicht die Blumen blinken!
Und aus längst entschwund'nen Zeiten
Zieht ein Grüßen her, ein Winken.
Wie ein Kindlein muß ich fühlen,
Wie ein Kindlein muß ich spielen
