Les Cloches
(Sung text for setting by C. Debussy)
 Matches original text
Language: French (Français)
Our translations:  ENG GER

Composition:

Set to music by Claude Achille Debussy (1862 - 1918), "Les Cloches", L. 65/(79) no. 1 (1891) [ voice and piano ], from Deux Romances, no. 1

Text Authorship:

  • by Paul Bourget (1852 - 1935), "Romance", appears in Les Aveux, in Dilettantisme
