Elfenlied
 (Sung text for setting by C. Weber)
 Matches base text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  DUT
Ich tummle mich auf der Haide,
es ist bald Mitternacht;
Huschkätzchen, meine Freude,
es hüpft und flackert und lacht.

Es ziehet mich nach zu schweifen,
wo's flimmert und wo's glänzt,
und denk' ich's nun zu greifen,
dahin ist das holde Gespenst.

Ach soll ich's noch einmal wagen,
du holde, süße Fee;
ich bin fast matt vom Jagen,
ich bitte dich, Elfchen, steh!
